Time Out says

Celebrating 28 years in Sydney, Buddha’s Birthday Festival is returning to Darling Harbour with loads of activities, from traditional rituals to a multicultural food fair.

Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to partake in ceremonies such as the bathing of Buddha, the blessing ceremony for world peace and a mind purification ceremony. Meditation, tai chi and mindfulness workshops will also be held across the two-day celebration.

Falling on Mother's Day weekend, there will be specific celebrations surrounding mothers and babies, so feel free to bring the whole brood along.

Highlights for the day include the traditional music and dance shows by Cambodian, South American, Vietnamese and Chinese performers, and the multicultural vegetarian food fair offering plant-based dishes from Malaysia, India, Japan and more over the course of the weekend.
