Time Out says

If you've been opening and closing your fridge approximately one hundred times a day like we have, here's something that might brighten up those iso-shelves: a hand-delivered selection of the finest local fromage. What's more, you'll get to learn about them too in a delectable, lightly tipsy evening of wine and cheese.

Penny, of boutique Penny's Cheese Shop in Potts Point and Heath from wine outfit Global Grapevine, are now hosting delectable, virtual evenings combining the two great comforts in life: wine and cheese. Penny and Heath will run you through an in-depth tasting with own hand-delivered tasting pack: they'll talk rinds, cheese-making processes, wine varietals, and they'll even have two live crosses: winemaker Giovanna Caruso will join the party from her Sicilian vineyard, as will Adelaide Hills-based cheesemaker Kym Masters.

One tasting pack ($60) includes five different cheeses from Penny’s favourite local cheesemakers, paired with five glasses of sourced from around Europe. To mop up all that wine, your package is finished off with a Pioik Bakery demi-baguette. You'll also be given tasting notes for the cheese and the vino – you wouldn't want to forget all your new-found knowledge – as well as storage and setup instructions for your precious delivery until class commences. It's going to be a cheesy affair.

You'll be sent a Zoom meeting link once you purchase your tasting pack. If you really want to go all out, you can tack on some Negronis and Espresso Martinis ($25).
