Time Out says

Lanterns, fortune cookies and lion dancers at Sydney's fave family destination

[Sponsored] Over the first weekend of the Chinese New Year Luna Park will transform with a series of special pop-ups, surprises, celebrations, and more than 200 traditional Chinese lanterns dotted throughout. Make sure you take a second look at the famous grin, as Luna Park will be changing the colour of the teeth to red, along with the lights on the huge Ferris wheel and other Sydney landmarks. Snack wise you can fill up at the dumpling pop-up, which will be serving steamed dumplings, pork san choy bau, and red velvet cupcakes all day long. Keep your eye out for live action lion dance performances on Friday at 8pm; Saturday 4.15pm and 8pm; and Sunday 4.15pm. There will also be Chinese calligraphy artists showcasing their skills and a thrilling firecracker display.

If you purchase an unlimited ride pass you'll receive a special fortune cookie with lucky instant win opportunities inside and for online purchases you can get a special $5 voucher to use at any outlet in the park during the Chinese New Year festival. You can also take advantage of the Swim and Spin offer, which allows you free entry to North Sydney Pool when you show your unlimited ride pass.

Whether you want to kick off CNY with your family, or you just want to see Luna Park in a different light, make sure you get to Luna Park this February.
