Time Out says

Grab a free feed and hang with local mates on Christmas morning in the Inner West

The summer holiday season is filled with plenty of cheer in Sydney, but things can get a little quiet on Christmas Day. If you’re not spending December 25 with the fam and still want to be surrounded by friendly faces even though your mates are out of town, come to this community brekky at Marrickville Metro.

The Metro is hosting a barbecue on Christmas morning, so anyone who needs a happy, carb-and-egg-filled start to the day has someone to share it with. The centre, which is otherwise closed on the 25th, is partnering with the Salvation Army and Woolworths to help reduce feelings of isolation during the festive season.

Woolies is supplying the free morning snacks, which will come in the classic breakfast form of bacon and egg rolls, as well as vego sanga options and cold drinks. The feast begins bright and early at 8.30am at the Metro's entrance on Victoria Road, and they'll be fliping breakfast burgers until 10am.
