Dig into some of your favourite music videos of the past year at this Vivid event

Aspiring music video directors and fans of the short-form film medium can gain insight into this growing industry at the Clipped Music Video Festival. Clipped is dedicated to promoting and celebrating the best music videos from both Australia and New Zealand. The day-to-night event will feature an interactive music video exhibition, live music, premiere screenings with Q&As, discussion panels with industry pros, and award presentations.

This year, Clipped welcomes acclaimed British director and creative director for Mamag Studios, Sing J. Lee as a special guest. Lee has worked alongside the likes of international stars Donald Glover, Migos, Halsey and Zayn. He’ll be chatting on the panel about his work across animation, musical mini-series and cross-cultural pieces.

Joining Lee in conversation is Sylvia Zakhary, the founder of Mamag Studios. You’ll also hear from UK music video and advertising director Tim Main, ABC’s Rage producer Maurice Branscombe and other representatives from globally recognised production companies.

Clipped also invites filmmakers and bands to submit their clips which will be judged by these industry leaders across categories such as animation, cinematography, directing and editing.
