Time Out says

Anyone who loves a good day at the dog park (even if you are poochless) or is a dedicated cruelty-free consumer will adore this huge day of animal advocacy. The Cruelty Free Festival is setting up in the huge warehouse space, the Venue Alexandria, to showcase groups who’re championing and protecting animal rights, as well as Sydney businesses finding innovative ways to promote cruelty-free and vegan lifestyles.

On the day, you can enjoy lunch with a clean conscious from ethical food stalls while you check out an animal focused photography exhibition or film screenings of exciting documentaries about our relationship with our fellow mammals. There’s also a host of kids’ activities as well as stalls to explore ethical products and causes.

Entry is $5 if you register ahead of time, $10 at the door and free for kids under 12. Unfortunately, unlike previous years, fury family members will have to hang out at home, as the venue doesn’t permit dog visitors.
