Time Out says

Give your fashion sense a sartorial shot in the arm with this one-day style showcase

Clothes maketh the man, so the saying goes. But if those clothes are some old tracky dacks and that jumper you like with the holes in, then maybe you need a few pointers.

Fortunately, the Dappertude Men’s Style Seminar is ready to help you ditch your wardrobe woes. Now entering its fourth year, this high-end sartorial symposium is all about inspiring sophistication, with the top tips and insider knowledge to instil even the most fashionably-challenged gent with the confidence to give his look an upgrade.

Setting the tone for this classy affair will be the plush surrounds of the Jackalberry Bar at the Hyatt Regency. Starting from 10am on October 26, Dappertude ticketholders will be served breakfast canapés, including mini buttermilk pancakes and quail eggs benedict with parmesan hollandaise. Lunch will also be on offer, which you can wash down with a glass of boutique organic cider from French brewery Fils de Pomme.

The seminar is hosted by celebrity style guru Jeff Lack, and a series of special guest speakers will be sharing their pearls of wisdom about tailoring, grooming, accessories and even finding your signature fragrance. There will also be live styling demos, insights into the latest trends and head-to-toe transformations showcasing this summer’s hottest looks. And if you reckon you’ve already got your wardrobe game down pat, there will also be a prize (yet to be disclosed) for the best-dressed gent in attendance.

Tickets are $80, and this includes individual goody bags for every attendee containing gift vouchers from local sponsors with a cash value of over $100. Melbourne-based cobblers Trimly will also be giving free shoeshines all day.

So if you want to shine up like a new penny better than Jack on the Titanic, this style seminar might set you right.
