Steeped in natural beauty, the Central Coast is known for lush hinterland, excellent surf beaches and laidback coastal towns. It’s also home to some of the county’s top creatives, from sculptors to painters, ceramicists and designers.

So how best to see and experience the best art the region has to offer? Enter Creative Spaces – a showcase of the Central Coast’s finest work, with pop-up retail and workshop spaces in Gosford, Woy Woy and the Entrance, from now until February 2023.

Running over spring and summer, Creative Spaces will feature artworks by up-and-coming as well as established artists from the area. There’s going to be classes on offer too, including drawing, knitting, staining glass, creative writing, upcycling, watercolouring, pottery, silvercraft and more.

Plus, artisan goods and art will be on sale during Creative Spaces so you can take home a piece of the Coast – from fashion to fresh produce, art, ceramics and more – and support local business at the same time.

Highlights include learning how to make a mosaic piece and create macrame art for the home (Oct 5-Nov 20); David Hough’s sculptures made from limestone, soapstone, timber and clay (Dec 5-Jan 5); and Zee Merven and Jacqueline Green’s photography exhibition of the Central Coast (Oct 26-Nov 14).

The program is chock-a-block full of fun and exciting events, so be sure to check it out.
