Cambridge Markets

Every Wednesday and Saturday the EQ comes alive with these gorgeous produce markets. More than 70 stallholders converge with farm fresh veggies, floral bouquets, gourmet pantry goods and artisan baked treats. Whether you want handmade cheese or hot sauces, just-laid eggs or extra-yummy pastries, these markets are the perfect antidote to your typical grocery shop, complete with live music and passionate foodies everywhere.

Camping 101

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city without actually leaving it on this nature-fuelled camping night. The hands-on overnight adventure includes a lesson in setting up a tent (remember to BYO tent), a catered campfire experience under the stars (with s'mores!) and a fully catered Aussie barbecue brekky. You'll also head out on a bat-watching experience at sunset with a Centennial Parkland education ranger, so you can learn all about the fascinating nocturnal marsupials. This will be followed by a guided tour of nocturnal wildlife in the park. So whether you're an avid camper or a total newbie, you'll want to get on board for the rare chance to camp overnight in one of Sydney's most beloved parks.

Fever-Tree Gin & Tonic Festival

In the world of botanical booze, there isn’t a more beloved duo than the humble G&T. She’s fresh, sometimes fruity, bubbly and and always full of subtle flavour. If you know this beverage well from backyard parties gone by, or would like to get to know it better, head to Centennial Park this spring for three full days of summer-fresh drinking. The festival is being hosted by super-swanky tonic brand Fever Tree. From September 27-29, they will set up a gin village of more than 30 distilled juniper berry concoctions to taste alongside their many tonics at Rose Gardens in the park. They’re also promising live music, garden games, cocktail demos and gin and cheese matching, plus a contingent of food trucks and picnic hampers that’ll sort out afternoon snacks and dinner. The festivities will start at 4pm on Friday and roll through the evening, and then kick-start earlier at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.
