Speed-meet film industry professionals, hear from Aussie filmmakers who’ve done good and learn how to finance your movie idea at the second Emerging Filmmakers' Conference, Freshflix.
In a one-day conference at level six of the MCA, Freshflix will offer emerging and wannabe filmmakers the opportunity to ask questions of leading industry teams, make new connections and watch a series of new short films.
The day is divided into three sessions: Hindsight is 2020, in which local filmmakers give a no-BS guide to making films in Australia; the Wizards of Aus, a chance to ask how to the big-wig producers; and Industry Speed Dating, where you can meet people like yourself, work on your ideas and come away with newfound energy and a Rolodex of contacts.
The day rounds out with the Freshflix Film Festival – an evening of new short flicks, accompanied by live music, art and food.
