Sydney’s inaugural speciality gin show will be making its debut at the Stamford Plaza this April. Distillers, experts and bar pros will all be on site offering up their knowledge of the great clear spirit. Guest will be able to sample up to 100 different types of gin, from local craft distilleries to international heavyweights. You'll be able to learn all about the botanical spirit and its rich history from its origins as a herbal medicine, through to its ubiquitous bar presence today.
Industry stalwart and cocktail educator Ben Davidson will team up with mixologists from Uber Bar Tools be in attendance crafting four custom gin cocktails, including a Tom Collins, New Orleans Fizz, Dry Martini and the classic Negroni. These cocktails, will be available at the AV8 bar for just $10 each.
To complement your gin tasting experience, you'll get a free bottle of Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic. Finally before departing the show make sure you visit the pop-up shop, which will be selling bottles of gin at bargain one-off show prices.
When you attend you'll also get a show bag at registration complete with a tasting glass, a souvenir program and water bottle. To balance out all this drinking and sampling, there will also be food available.
