Time Out says

A digital gin festival where you do all the tasting in the comfort of your own home

Don't let those rose-coloured glasses trick you in to thinking that food and drink festivals don't have their drawbacks. There are always queues; masterclasses hit capacity quickly; bathrooms are never close enough; and they are weather sensitive.

Enter GinNation, a two-day, online, all-Aussie gin festival where you sample juniper spirits from the comfort of your sofa while attending demonstrations, masterclasses and guided tastings on six digital stages, and oh so socially-distanced.

The festival is curated by the Gin Birds in partnership with Fever-Tree, and for your $149 fee you will receive a box of 60 10mL gin samples plus Fever-Tree tonics and extras. You then log on for sessions across both days that allow your tastebuds to criss-cross the nation even if border closures have you staying firmly in one place.

If gin is your spirit, this is the most accessible way to get right down into the nitty gritty of Australia's craft distilling scene, and no need for a designated driver, because you're already home safe.
