Time Out says

Watch the biggest game of the AFL season on the big screen with the Giants faithful

While the AFL might be a slightly bigger deal in Melbourne, that doesn’t mean there aren’t a whole heap of footy-loving Sydneysiders pumped for the Grand Final weekend. Hometown heroes the GWS Giants are within reach of the premiership cup, so if you’re looking for somewhere to get behind the boys as they take on Richmond this Saturday, the place to be is the Giants' official Grand Final Live Site at Cathy Freeman Park.

Located in the Sydney Olympic Park grounds just a kick away from the Giants Stadium, this live screening of AFL’s most important fixture is the perfect event for Giants fans of any age, with an inflatable play zone for kids and the Olympic Park’s newest pub, the Locker Room, open for older footy fans to enjoy. There will also be food trucks on hand supplying hearty eats (BYO picnics are not permitted within the Grand Final Live Site).

Entry is absolutely free and the grounds open at midday, so there's plenty of time to scope out the perfect spot to watch, ready for kick-off at 2.30pm. If you can't catch the match in person at the MCG, the Grand Final Live Site is the next best thing, so suit up in your best orange and black, and be ready to see a tangerine dream come true when the Giants bring home the trophy to West Sydney.
