You’re invited to an exclusive night of Japanese eats, cocktails and jazz brought to you by Time Out and Sokyo Lounge


Put this in your diary and double underline it: we’re throwing an exclusive party at Sokyo Lounge on Thursday May 4 and you’re invited.

We love Sokyo Lounge for their high-class cocktails, ace Japanese whisky collection and their famous kitchen pumping out the city's best sushi. That's why we're teaming up with them for a one-off soiree where live jazz and DJs meet great eats and drinks.

For $75 per person, you'll get to kick back on Sokyo's silver and gold velvet armchairs and try three different seasonal Sokyo cocktails, made with exotic fruits, aromatic spices and Japanese whisky. Take your pick of a Whisky Highball (Suntory Kakubin whisky mixed with homemade yuzu and apple soda), Whisky Sour (Japanese botanical sour drink constructed with Nikka from the barrel) or a Sokyo Old Fashioned (smoked Yamazaki old fashioned with signature Sokyo twist). There'll also be a refreshing hibiscus mocktail available if you'd rather an alcohol-free evening.

Pair your drinks with plenty of delicate Japanese dishes like asparagus tempura edamame dip, Kingfish wings robata with shichimi and lime, chicken yakitori don and for something sweet, mini goma street and strawberry mochi. Think of it like Japanese aperitivo, with tonnes of good vibes. 

Join us to celebrate the dark art of cocktail making, swinging tunes, and delicious snacks that pay homage to the flavours of autumn in Sydney.
