US writer Jonathan Franzen is one of the big drawcards for this year’s Writers’ Festival. His new book Purity has been called a daring and penetrating work, telling a story of youthful idealism, extreme fidelity and murder. He’s the author of four books including The Corrections and Freedom. His talk with Anna Funder will be as wide-ranging as his latest work, which is ambitious, satirical and witty.
