Time Out says

Due to health concerns within the community regarding the coronavirus outbreak, Burwood Council, with the support of the Lunar New Year Carnival organisers, has postponed this event until further notice. A revised date for this performance will be announced in due course.

Burwood Park comes alive on Saturday, 8 February with an all-ages carnival celebrating the Lunar New Year. Try your hand at Chinese calligraphy, greet the God of Fortune as he hands out lucky red envelopes, and enjoy live entertainment and food stall offerings respresenting the diverse Asian cultures that call Burwood home.

The Carnival will be the final event in the official Burwood Lunar New Year celebrations, which include a bilingual workshop in Chinese painting at the Woodstock Community Centre on February 7, as well as a Lion Dance parade down Burwood Road at 11am on February 2.
