Time Out says

Australia’s longest-running jazz festival is returning for three days of incredible music

It’s been 45 years since Manly Jazz first burst onto the beachside suburb’s festival scene, and it’s back once more with a stellar line-up of live music.

The three-day party kicks off on September 23, and it will see the Manly Corso plus the surrounding streets and lanes come alive with the sweet sound of jazz tunes. There are four main stages, while a number of local bars and restaurants – like Manly Pavilion, Hotel Steyne, the Herring Room, Garfish and Bar Tropic – will play host to a number of gigs while also offering up some fab food and drink specials.

The line-up of more than 70 performers is impressive, and includes the Horn Dogs, Eamon Dilworth's Crawfish Po' Boys, Cumbiamuffin, Monica and the Moochers, Cameron Jones Trio and the Sydney Conservatorium Big Band. Head to the Jazz Stars of the Future stage and you’ll even get to see some of the industry’s brightest up-and-comers.

All of these musical events are free, aside from the Director’s Choice concert, which is $40 per person. It will take place on September 25 at Star of the Sea Theatre, and feature Swing City – a big band-style group comprising some of the best musicians in Australia.

So if you’re keen to eat, drink and be merry while listening to everything from traditional New Orleans tunes to funk, gospel, swing and blues, clear your schedule and make a date with Manly Jazz.
