While there’s no shortage of great neighbourhoods to dine out in Sydney, it’s hard to beat the convenience (and calibre) of the CBD. Whether you’re after a quick bite or somewhere swish for date night, the options are endless. In fact, narrowing it down might be the hardest part. Luckily, we’ve got the spot for you.

Housed inside the multi-level venue Club York, Meza Bar & Grill is a Mediterranean-inspired dining destination from the award-winning team behind Primi Italian. Located on York Street in the CBD, this sleek bistro has quickly earned a reputation for impressing diners with good food at great value.

Come for the plush and elegant interiors and stay for a stand-out menu you’ll want to slowly work your way through. Championing simplicity, Meza makes good use of Australia’s superb produce (hello Sydney Rock Oysters and creamy garlic prawns). The rest of the food offerings include shareable salads and lip-smacking dishes like Greek bruschetta and the signature lamb souvlaki.

From May 24, Meza is officially flinging its doors open every Sunday for what might be the best long lunch spot in town. Just minutes from Wynyard Station, pop in for an early lunch before hitting the pavement for some well-deserved shopping. To mark the occasion, you can sign up to be a Social Member for just $5 and receive a $10 meal voucher for Meza as well as a $10 bar voucher to be used upstairs at Meza or downstairs at Bar 99. New members can also score complimentary valet service on their first visit. How good!
