Journey Beyond Cruise Sydney have given us a little sneak peek of what's on the menu for their lunch and dinner à la carte packages. The menu leans in to local ingredients and wines from around NSW, showcasing the best produce from around our state in delicious pairings and combinations. For lunch and dinner mains you can enjoy hearty dishes like slow-cooked beef cheek from Cowra with creamed potatoes, pickled onions, watercress and crisp eschalot or Hawkesbury snapper with olives, capers, crushed potatoes, eggplant, basil, pine nut relish and tomato fondue. Vegetarians and fresh produce fans will also be pleased by the main offering of a Peats Ridge farm fresh pumpkin, spinach and chickpea with glazed eschalots, asparagus and roast capsicum coulis. The dinner cruise menu takes it up a notch with some mouth-watering starters: a Yamba prawn cocktail with avocado creme fraiche; poached chicken with eggplant, chickpea puree, dukkah and harissa dressing or a veggo-friendly Caprese salad. And of course, both menus have some delectable desserts and regionally-focused beverages included to enjoy as you cruise around the glittering harbour.
These dining cruise packages start from a reasonable $119pp for a two and a half hour lunch and $175pp for a three hour dinner. Lunch is available on Sundays and dinner cruises operate on Fridays and Saturdays.
