The Theatre Bar at the End of the Wharf, which sits within the Sydney Theatre Company’s Walsh Bay premises, offers views of the Harbour Bridge, Luna Park, and most importantly – the fireworks.
It’s an all-out affair. Kicking off at 7pm, there’s Champagne on arrival as you catch the year’s last sunset over the water, before live sets from Andre Kaman, MC Red London, Scotty Sax and Craig Morrison ease the crowd into party mode. Once things are in full swing, DJ Dan Rowntree will take over until the early hours of New Year’s Day.
The canapé menu has been designed to accompany the venue’s waterfront location, with bites such as seared scallops with miso, barramundi sliders, poké bowls and brioche doughnuts with Limoncello curd.
