An activist, organiser, fashion designer and model, Ollie Henderson has a lot of work to get on with. Her label House of Riot creates irreverent, socially conscious slogan T-shirts (think ‘Sex ≠ Gender’ or ‘Start the Riot’); while her talk series On the Floor works as a Q&A-style forum for young people to explore the issues that matter to them, live on stage. Ollie is passionate about giving young people a voice and a platform, and she channels that passion into making things happen in the real world. Her next On the Floor talk is on the program for Vivid Ideas, and will explore the politics and business of video games.
In the future Ollie hopes Sydney: “Develops a strong social identity not just based around the beach. We have a lot of local talent, and we need to be celebrating that more.”
