The good folks at Joynton Avenue Creative Centre, the centrepiece of Green Square’s creative precinct, are celebrating the return to real life with an interactive open day packed with workshops, art, beats and beers this Saturday in the beautiful heritage building surrounds.
The afternoon will be soundtracked by live music from SIMA (Sydney Improvised Music Association) as you take your pick from drop-in workshops and exhibitions including poetry, printmaking, mindfulness, interactive photography installations, and jewellery demos. With dancing allowed in Sydney again, there’ll also be room to cut a rug with your pals.
Art Somewhere – the gang that kept our hands busy with their craft and booze subscription service during lockdown – are bringing people together IRL again by hosting an open creative hangout all afternoon, including beers in the sunshine.
The creative drivers from 107 Projects, which runs the Creative Centre, have rounded up Joynton Avenue's creative residents to make all the elements of this eclectic hang out happen, including Red Room Poetry, Rizzeria, Other Worlds Zines, the Bench, Melissa Katherine Photography, SIMA and The Story Mill.
It all goes down on Saturday, April 10, from 3-8pm. Tickets are only $11.08 and you can lock yours in here.
