Who doesn't love Oktoberfest? The German beer festival has become popular the world over, with people of all nationalities enjoying Bavarian food, beer, music and fun (lederhosen not included, but thoroughly encouraged).
Penrith Paceway is celebrating Oktoberfest with a twist – an Aussie twist. At an event called 'Oztoberfest' on October 19, you can get amongst beer, cider, schnapps and food. There will be traditional German music and dancing, with plenty of roaming acts to keep you entertained.
Feel like dressing up? There will be prizes for best dressed, as well as games. The $10 entry includes a 500ml stein and $5 to put towards any purchase at the event, so it's almost cheaper to go than not go.
