Time Out says

Pull up a stool, grab a drink and hear from some of our brightest minds

If you want to know what’s really in your beer or if you’re intrigued by an app that could make you a better dancer, then head to the pub for a Pint of Science. This annual festival invites brainiacs in the fields of environmental and biological science, engineering and technology, maths and social sciences to share their knowledge with pub patrons worldwide.

Australia will down the first beers globally for the 2018 event, with four Sydney pubs in the ranks of 32 venues across the country. They’ll become forums for discussions about the realms of science that impact our lives, like climate change, biotechnology and ecology. Head to the Harlequin Inn in Pyrmont and hear all about how we’re monitoring bees with tiny backpacks. Or, finally find out when that hoverboard is coming at the Newtown Botany View Hotel. There’s more facts to be found at Darlington’s Royal Hotel and the Harold Park Hotel in Forest Lodge. Bottoms up to science.
