Drinking Italian wine all afternoon is hardly ever a bad idea. But, it’s made all the better when the grape juice is hand-picked by some of Australia’s leading importers, who work predominantly with sustainably-minded producers. On Saturday, November 16, the gang at Bodega 1904 will be transforming Artisan Lane at the Tramsheds into a wine lover’s wonderland, showcasing more than 40 wines from various Italian regions.
A $45 (plus booking fee) ticket to one of the two sessions scores you a fancy Riedel glass (to keep!), the opportunity to taste all the vino your palate can handle in two hours and the chance to rub elbows with the experts from Enoteca Sydney, Giorgio Di Maria Fun Wines, Godot Wines, Bibendum Wine Co and Fourth Wave Wine, among others. Bodega 1904, Flour Eggs Water and Sergio’s kitchen are on food duties, and there will be live entertainment should you wish to put the mambo in Italiano. Cin cin.
