Rest in Pieces is a Melbourne-based school that specialises in teaching taxidermy skills and they're coming to Sydney's Work-Shop for the weekend. If you're more in the camp of curiosity over repulsion when you see a deceased animal on display then this is the fascinating Saturday activity for you.
Participants will be guided through the process of skinning and preserving a (provided) mouse and they can take the finished product home for proud display. Depending on the strength of your iron guts, Rest in Pieces will also ply you with snacks, lunch and a celebratory glass of sparkling to toast your new little stuffed friend.
If gentle wing fondling is more your style, they're also running some meditative butterfly and moth preserving workshops on Sunday.
