Time Out says

Get out your fluoro activewear and strap in for a free ‘80s-inspired workout with a Bacardi-Martini cocktail to follow

If you’re a fan of Eric Prydz’s ‘Call On Me music video, this one’s for you. All throughout August the nightlife hub found between York, Clarence and Kent Streets, known as YCK Laneways, is throwing a festival coined Front & Centre to celebrate and showcase the city’s female and non-binary artists, musicians and creatives.

In great news, the team has just announced a newly added event for Sunday August 28 starring the team from Retrosweat. Think an hour of ‘80s music, fun fashion and a heart-pumping workout.

Work up a sweat to a 1980s freestyle aerobics class featuring star-jumping, flick-kicking and squatting all to the upbeat sounds of David Bowie, Bananarama, Pat Benatar and Wham! Afterwards, enjoy a complimentary and well-earned Bacardi-Martini cocktail.

Kicking off from 6pm at Barrack Street, Retrosweat it out with Bacardi-Martini is free, and all experience levels are welcome. Space is limited however, so registration is a must – you can do so here. Lycra is not mandatory, though it’s highly encouraged!

Front & Centre is funded by the NSW Government’s Revitalisation Program and proudly supported by Bacardi-Martini and Time Out.
