Time Out says

Rose Bay will be drenched in rosé at this festival dedicated to the pink drink

Sydney’s love of pink wine seems to hold no bounds. We drink it in slushy form, in a Spritz, on rooftop bars and at the rosé festivals that descend on the city when the warm weather rolls in. There couldn’t be a more appropriate place to hold such a festival than Rose Bay, and now this pastel dream is coming true once more when the Rosé Bay wine festival returns to the region.

There’ll be more than 30 different drops of rosé to taste, hailing from France and Australia’s own rolling hills, as well as a few reds, whites and sparklings. Aussie labels include Sam Miranda Wines from Victoria’s King Valley, De Iuliis and 1813 from the Hunter Valley and Bone Dry Rosé from Mudgee, with French counterparts including Chateau Les Mesclances, Petula Rosé, and Jesse and Jon Bon Jovi’s Hampton Water rosé (and yes, we're talking about a new wine label by the legendary rocker and his son).

Pair your tastings with a dozen oysters, or unapologetically French charcuterie, cheeses, baguettes and crêpes from the accompanying food stalls.

The corks will start flying from noon at the Woollahra Sailing Club, and your $40 ticket ensures you five wine tastings to kick things off. Then you can continue to purchase your favourites as the afternoon tipples turn into evening drinks.
