Time Out says

Free yoga, organic farmers’ markets and twilight live music is coming to this harbourside restaurant

Summer loving Sydneysiders are already itching to get back to their beach lounging ways, and to assist them in this endeavour, waterfront venue Pier One Sydney Harbour are bringing the lazy summer vibes of Santa Monica to the centre of Sydney. They’ll be emulating the LA beach city with a transformed lounge that’ll host renowned Santa Monica chefs who will bring special Northern Hemisphere dishes to Pier One’s very fancy restaurant, the Gantry.

While we’re excited to see what two-star Micheline chef Josiah Citrin, Top Chef judge Raphael Lunetta, and Govind Armstrong of Iron Chef fame bring to the table, we’re more keen on the fun, free extras that are coming along with the six-week spring pop-up.

Wellness hunters can book into free yoga and pilates classes every Wednesday morning from 7am, and on Saturdays you can get another free hit of health on a 2.5k run from Luna Park to Pier one, followed by yoga by the water. For those seeking more chilled vibes (and wine), every Friday from 4pm there’ll be sundowner specials and live tunes in the beachy lounge, and each Sunday you’ll find the venue bustling with a Santa Monica-inspired mini farmers’ market offering organic produce, fresh blooms, baked goods and snacks, plus live music and cooking demos.

There’ll also be special dining events and the chance to win a four-night trip to Santa Monica each week (that’s five holidays in total). These cool offers will be available for the duration of the LA makeover at Pier One from September 22-October 31.
