Entrepreneurs from the fields of STEAM and beyond get together for a week of workshops, hackathons, knowledge sharing and even a bit of physical activity
Sydney Startup Week is back and bigger than ever, with a new name too: Spark Festival.
Think Vivid Ideas, but for entrepreneurship, across everything from fintech to health, design to sales.
We're particularly excited about the Urban Playground pop up in Martin Place, which is showcasing health and fitness startups on Wednesday October 26 and Thursday 27. It'll play host to a Sunrise Silent Yoga Disco by Have You Heard events at 7am, followed by netball, dodgeball and rollerfitness classes, with coconuts on hand in case you need hydration.
Also exciting is the free Questathon hackathon. It's a weekend-long event that will bring together teams aiming to find creative solutions to the problems faced by recent migrants, especially refugees. Questathon will be asking people to brainstorm concepts to help ease problem areas for migrants, around employment, education, media representation, and social cohesion. Anyone interested in registering for the event is welcomed.
Other events include job seekers' seminars, and meetups, breakfasts and panel discussions focused on women in tech.
