Time Out says

This much-loved cultural event returns to Liverpool’s CBD with live performances, food stalls and fashion shows

You don’t need to book a flight to India to experience the sights, smells and sounds of South East Asia. Liverpool is bringing the subcontinent’s vibrant colours and creative flair to Macquarie Mall for Starry Sari Nights – a free festival across September 22-24 from 5-10pm. You’ll be dazzled with fashion shows, henna art, cooking demonstrations and Bollywood music, along with a mouthwatering mix of street food from India and its surrounds.

You’ll be able to follow the spices and scents down Macquarie Street to a tantalising line-up of food trucks including Indian-style jaffles from Pocket Rocketz Food Truck; butter chicken pizzas from Pizza Jatt; and local comfort foods from restaurants like Omer Biryani House.

Along with the thriving South Asian eateries, Liverpool is best known as a premiere shopping destination for Indian and South Asian fashion. The most vibrant and impressive designs of George Street’s 35 sari outlets will be showcased at four glamorous fashion shows each night.

Continue exploring the customs and traditions of this spectacular Indian subcontinent with Bollywood dance performances, DJ sets, cooking demonstrations, and make-and-do workshops.

Starry Sari Nights is proudly sponsored by Liverpool Plaza, Desi Australia, Smartraveller and Time Out.

You can explore the full program when it’s released here.
