Time Out says

An inspiring global line-up of spoken words, stories, lyrics and poetry slams shared throughout Sydney

Some of the world’s most talented spoken word artists will gather in Sydney this October showcasing their moving and compelling work for Story Week 2022.

Be inspired as you hear from poets to hip-hop artists, storytellers and lyricists as they bare the fruits of their creative souls for a week-long celebration of words and the power they can hold.

Featuring panels, workshops and Hani Abdile and Fred Leone as guest curators, Story Week 2022 will kick off on Saturday, October 15 at 7.30pm, and will run to Sunday 23, at 10pm.

The Australian Poetry Slam National Final will also be held during Story Week, as reigning APS Slam Champion Huda the Goddess delivers her final performance before she hands over her crown chosen by the audience.

This year’s Story Week will be taking place at three different locations over the eight days: the Sydney Opera House, Customs House at Circular Quay and World Travels' warehouse in Darlinghurst.

Story Week is presented by World Travels, a not-for-profit arts organisation with an aim to encourage people to live their stories in creative ways, primarily through performance.

Tickets to Story Week 2022 and the Australian Poetry Slam National Final are on sale now!
