Time Out says

Now you can learn somethig on your weekly farmer's market jaunt: Carriageworks is hosting new workshops every Saturday morning in conjunction with the nifty hands at Marrickville's café and picklery Cornersmith.

The workshops will cover a range of topics, drawing on temporally available produce from the markets and principles of slowness and sustainability. Learn kitchen and garden techniques, from tending to mushrooms tp spicing prunes, and shopping and cooking without creating waste. Make the most of garlic season by whipping up a mean garlic toum, or, if you're in the mood to preserve, learn the art of kosher pickle making or how to turn the lid on a jar of kimchi made entirely from kitchen scraps.

Book tickets online. Tickets are $75. The workshops start on February 6 and run until April 17 every Saturday morning from 9-10.30am at the Carriageworks Farmers Market.
