Time Out says

Explore constellations on a night of galactic discovery from the ground

Spend an evening stargazing and discussing the great beyond at Sydney Astrofest. The University of Sydney is inviting aspiring astronomers to explore the night sky with telescope viewings, shows at the planetarium, space-themed art and craft workshops, and talks and demonstrations led by researchers and astronomy societies.

Astro-fans will spend time outside under the sea of stars – so don’t forget jackets and blankets – and warm up inside the university’s conference centres. It’s a free event (but bring a $2 donation for the planetarium experience) with an exhibit, activity or talk that will interest every member of the family.
