Sydney Christmas Fair
Time Out says
There’s a Santa sackful of family fun to be had over two weekends at the Entertainment Quarter
If there’s one thing the story of the Grinch taught us, it’s that the Christmas spirit endures no matter what the situation. And it’s lovely to see that the Entertainment Quarter is putting on a Sydney Christmas Fair this December with heaps of fun for the kids – socially distanced of course.
Expect carnival rides including dodgems, wave swinger and a classic carousel, and sideshow games like Duck Pond, Laughing Clowns and Balloon Bust too. Get wet on the Epic Racer with its water slide. DJ Jingelena will spin the yuletide hits at the Gingerbread House Party throughout the day, and Elf Workshops will allow children to explore their creativity by writing a letter to Santa or making a Christmas card.
Santa Claus will be on hand for contactless photos with kids and pets, and on Friday and Saturday evenings an outdoor cinema will screen Christmas movies.
Entry is $5 per head and includes one game or ride plus the outdoor cinema (be sure to secure your spot though). For those who can’t get enough of the rides, a two-hour Unlimited Rider Wristband includes entry and is $25. The Stuff Your Stocking add-on for an additional $8 lets kids collect special treats from locations around the fair.
Now here’s the important bit: numbers are limited so we can all be safe, so they are strongly recommending you book tickets online. There is plenty of public transport to the Entertainment Quarter (trams and buses) but if you’re driving the first two hours in the carpark are free.
