After a successful debut earlier this year, Sydney Streets is back this spring, closing streets throughout seven much-loved neighbourhoods for the day and transforming them into vibrant hubs for walking, shopping and dining.

Proudly produced by the City of Sydney, Sydney Streets is designed to encourage locals to celebrate their neighbourhoods and bring the community together. Running for seven consecutive weeks on a Saturday from 11am to 10pm, the program kicks off on October 1 with Crown Street in Surry Hills closing to traffic and opening to pedestrians only.

Next up in Sydney Streets will be Harris Street in Pyrmont (Oct 8); Stanley Street in East Sydney (Oct 15); Redfern Street in Redfern (Oct 22); newcomer Haymarket (Oct 29); Glebe Point Road in Glebe (Nov 5); and Darlinghurst Road and Macleay Street in Potts Point (Nov 12).

Bring your family and friends and make the most of the lively alfresco dining, in-store activations, great offers and entertainment along the street. Expect to also find jazz musicians, characters on stilts and bubble blowers, with fire dancers making an appearance as the sun goes down.

Forget the car and eat, shop, explore and discover at Sydney Streets. Entry is free, though we would recommend saving up some pocket money so you can support local businesses, and buy yourself a treat (or two).
