Time Out says

Take your Friday knock-off to educational new places and engage your critical thinking with a special one-off livestreamed event from TEDxSydney. Marking the date that the now-postponed flagship event would have been happening, this digital tribute will take you through the greatest hits from the past decade. The local leg of this international talk series phenomenon covers everything including science, business, technology, art, design, entertainment, culture and all of the intersecting issues in between.

Tune in between 4pm and 7pm on Friday, May 22, to revisit talks and performances you may be familiar with and be introduced to talks you may have missed. The livestream is hosted from the big red dot in the TEDxSydney Studio by head of curation, Fenella Kernebone, and features interviews from previous speakers along the way. The mixed bag of featured speakers includes Atlassian co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes exploring business imposter feelings; astrophysicist Kirsten Banks on Aboriginal astronomy; and storyteller, DJ and quadruple amputee Tom Nash on the perks of being a pirate.

Tune in on the Facebook Livestream and dip in and out of sessions as you like, and if you’re up for it, you can BYO drinks for the after party with TedxSydney’s resident DJs.

The TedxSydney flagship event will take place in November at the ICC Sydney. In the lead up you can stay on the pulse with the new podcast series, TEDxSydney@Home, available to download from next week. Hosted by Kernebone, the podcast features short and sharp conversations with members from the TEDxSydney community.
