The Imperial’s Bushfire Relief Fundraiser
Time Out says
Local drag legends and DJs are throwing a massive fundraising party, and you're invited
The Imperial’s basement is one of the city's hottest dance floors. On January 18, it will also play host to more than thirty entertainers donating their time to serve up queer, camp, party brilliance and fabulous community spirit in support of our fellow Aussies affected by the ongoing bushfire crisis.
The Impy’s resident royalty – Etcetera Etcetera, Ruby Slippers, Farren Heit and Peach Fuzz – are joining an eclectic crop of Sydney’s drag queens, kings and in-betweens also including Sydney drag matriarch Miss 3D, Aboriginal drag star Felicia Foxx and burlesque showgirl Mama Medusa.
Pinnacle DJ’s of the local queer party scene will be rolling out boogie vibes all night, including Shanie D, Estée Louder, Cunningpants, Tilda Swagton and Tammy Thomas. Entry is $10 with all funds going directly to the Trustee for NSW Rural Fire Service and Brigades donations fund. A portion of drink sales will also go to the cause. Follow the Facebook event for more details.
