While everyone’s social calendars are bursting at the seams with parties and sunkissed adventures in the lead up to Christmas and over New Year’s, those five days in between are generally rather awkward. Is your favourite bar open? Don’t think so. Are Andy and the gang around for a barbecue? No, they’ve gone up the coast.
Luckily, this boat party in the middle of Sydney Harbour will ramp up your in-between season and bring everyone together for a day of salty songs and NYE dance prep. The Island Live sets sail on December 27 for a long afternoon of beats and boogying curated by boutique music agency, Falcona.
The line-up will only be revealed once you’ve arrived on the Island, but if previous parties – which featured sets from Alison Wonderland, Hayden James, Miami Horror, Hot Dub Time Machine, Running Touch, What So Not and Young Franco – are anything to go by, this is an unwrapping that won’t end in disappointment.
Tickets include a return water taxi trip from Double Bay wharf plus complimentary drinks on arrival. Getting in early is advisable – there’s only room for 300 souls on this party ship.
