Time Out says

The Kings Cross Hotel is being transformed into a haunted house for one spooky night

If you’re a keen horror flick fan and love a good jump scare, head to Kings Cross Hotel on June 21 and welcome the winter solstice with an evening of terror. Every level of this long-standing pub is getting a terrifying makeover for an horrifically interactive haunted house experience.

Guests at the Longest Nightmare of the Year will get to drink with undead sailors, hear haunting tales from bereaved widows, escape the clutches of people driven mad by cabin fever, watch in wonder at ghostly magic performances and encounter slithering creatures. All these unnerving experiences will be performed by actors, of course, from interactive horror theatre experience Running Scared, who specialise in all things gruesome, ghoulish and ghastly.

After you’ve regained some of your composure, you’ll head upstairs for scary-good cocktails made with Kraken spiced rum and snacks. All guests will also get to take home a surprise gift as a reward for your bravery.
