Time Out says

Sprinkle on your fake scabs and join this undead horde

If you’re in the CBD on October 27, you’ll be ready to dig out your go-bag and run for the less densely populated hills, because a horde of the undead will be stumbling around St Mary’s Cathedral Square for the annual Sydney Zombie Walk.

This rotten crowd will get all made up in their best scabs and oozing sores to spend an afternoon raising money for the Brain Foundation. You can join the zombie apocalypse on their 1km walk for a $10-$15 dollar registration fee that goes directly to the research group, and also enlist your mates to sponsor you for further fundraising.

Don’t stress if you’re all out of fake blood – the Party People will set up a reverse first aid tent where their makeup artists will help you look your gory worst. Plus, if your brain craving starts to subside, there’ll be spooky markets selling human snacks and zombie paraphernalia.

The supernatural spectacle begins at midday, with the roads blocked off for the slumping stampede, which will start their gruesum march at 3.30pm sharp.

Kids under 16 get to join in for free, and long-dead zombies will save $5 by registering ahead of time. Booking an undead make-under will save you from the lines.
