With the winter school holidays just around the corner, two weeks of keeping the little ones busy beckons. But fear not, the world's largest LEGO Store is pulling out all the stops to keep the kiddos entertained (and grown ups stress-free) this winter break. Whether you're looking for a family-friendly activity or just something fun to do in the cooler months, a visit to the world’s largest LEGO store is sure to delight LEGO fans both big and small.
Across two levels, the store is a true kids' paradise packed with hands-on play zones, exclusive LEGO sets, a custom brick engraving station and towering 3D LEGO sculptures which draw inspiration from local icons and architecture. Adding to the magic is the rare chance to visit the LEGO Minifigure Factory, the only one in the Southern Hemisphere, where you can design your very own Minifigure and watch it come to life, printed right in-store.
This one-stop shop for family fun is also hosting two limited-time events these school holidays. Throughout July, the specially designed activation zone She Built That! encourages girls to unleash their creative potential with LEGO sets, and designed to inspire.
For film buffs and dino fanatics, an extra-special, immersive Jurassic World-themed zone is popping up in-store this June 29 to July 14. Fire up your imagination with LEGO recreations of some of the film’s most fearsome creatures. There'll be a life-sized LEGO Spinosaurus model at just under two metres long. It's made of a jaw-dropping 32,401 bricks, took over 200 hours to build and weighs 250kg! Plus, this and many of the other 3D models were built by the Brickman himself. Immerse yourself in the sounds of Jurassic World Rebirth Dinosaurs at the touch of the button on the control panel.
And the fun doesn’t have to end there — you can pick up your very own LEGO Jurassic World set and try your hand at building the prehistoric beasts at home. That’s a few more days of school holiday fun, sorted.
