Wine lovers will descend on Avalon this month for a booze-filled festival bringing together 23 Australian wineries. There will be copious amounts of grown-up grape juice, alongside food stalls and a few craft beers. There’ll be plenty of oysters on the menu, plus delightful dishes from restaurants and producers like Choux Patisserie, Hunter Valley Cheese Company and the Cellar Restaurant.
Pick up a tasting glass for $10 on the day and grab a stack of tasting vouchers for $4 pop, or skip the line and pre-order online. If you have secret dreams of becoming a sommelier, book in early for one of the tasting masterclasses throughout the day – limited to 20 people per session.
All these goodies are a glimpse of what’s to come in May and June at the Hunter Valley Food and Wine Festival.
