There’s a new barbecue night coming to Sydney. And you’re going to want to get involved.
On the first Friday of every month, chef Dan Lewinsky, aka ‘Dan the Man’ is cooking up the Texan barbecue of your dreams over at Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club in Bellevue Hill. Over the past five years, the Aussie-born chef has been travelling to Brooklyn to learn the craft of American barbecue from pitmaster Nestor Laracuente, and he’s even getting the man’s spice rubs sent over from the US for these monthly barbecues.
For $35 you get a tray of smoky brisket, pulled pork and a selection of meats like beef sausage, chicken wings and pork ribs. You even get sides of mac and cheese, dirty white bread, coleslaw, pickles and jalapeños with your order, making this a serious bargain.
Book your tickets in advance or show up on the day. The monthly dinners kick off at 6pm.
