Time Out says

This ‘grammable hotspot has been transformed into a shimmering wonderland

With the count-down to Valentine’s Day ticking ever-closer, romance – and the pursuit of the ultimate romantic aesthetic – is in the air. Toddle on over to Alexandria and you’ll find that the Grounds is positively exploding with the most extra of Valentine’s visualisations.

Some may say love is blind, but here, it's iridescent. The laneway and gardens are overflowing with an oh-so-romantic installation packed with plumes of flowers and feathers in shades of pink, purple and pastels with shimmering colour-changing arches. You can live out the iridescent fantasy by visiting the Grounds up until Monday, February 17. Hot tip: time your visit between 9 and 11am to frolic amongst floating bubbles.

For those who want an even more romantic experience, there are Valentine’s Day dinners in the Grounds’ restaurants (about $110 a pop) – the Potting Shed is filling up for bookings, and the Garden is booked sold out. There’s also a couple of shimmery special menu items that will allow you to team with the theme.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but your Valentine might be heartbroken if you don’t head to the Grounds for a shimmery couple's selfie, so get yourself a loved-up update to your profile pic or your relationship status might change to 'complicated'. Don't say we didn't warn you.
