A voice lives in the back of every cat owner's mind. Don’t try to deny it. It’s like an intrusive thought, an unshakeable but twisted question that pops up when you crack open a can or sachet of your cat's favourite wet food: “I wonder what it tastes like?”
This is hopefully not the first time you’ve been told this, but don't listen to that voice! Cat food is for cats, and they’d probably be pretty ticked off if they watched you try it, anyway. But this is your – or at least your intrusive thoughts – lucky day. NEL restaurant, known for creating mind-blowing degustation menus, has turned to Purina Fancy Feast for its latest culinary inspiration. And the treat on top? We have seats with your name on them.
To celebrate the launch of the new Fancy Feast Gems (if your cat is asking, this new innovation is pyramids of chicken, salmon or tuna mousse pâté topped with savoury gravy), NEL is serving The Feline Feast: a 12-course degustation dinner with matching wines, inspired by the elevated dining experiences Aussies are giving their cats. New research has found that 60 per cent of Aussie cat owners think cats are the harshest food critics, so it’s only fair you get to eat well, too.
The Feline Feast will take place over two seatings on Monday, November 2, with a 1pm lunch and 7pm dinner. To go in the running to win one of three double passes for you and a guest, fill out the competition form below.
