Elizabeth Bay House (1835) is one of the gems of Sydney – once the grandest house in the colony and beautifully preserved by Sydney Living Museums. Due to Covid restrictions it's currently closed to the public, but Time Out subscribers have a chance to experience its splendour at an exclusive subscriber event on Thursday June 17, 7.30-9pm.
Enjoy an evening of drinks and canapés and an opportunity to see the famous artwork 'Narcissus Garden' (1966/2002) by Yayoi Kusama in its special Elizabeth Bay House iteration. Exhibition curator Beth Hise will discuss the artwork and its interpretation in this colonial house, and there'll be a special tour of the house led by Sydney Living Museums’ expert guides.
Throughout May and June, Elizabeth Bay House is only open to Sydney Living Museums members, making this event even more special for the lucky winners. There are 20 double passes to this exclusive Time Out event up for grabs.
And if you can't wait to see 'Narcissus Garden', it’s currently installed at Vaucluse House until May 23.
