[Sponsored] Get your skates on and glide into the Parramatta Winterlight festival

Break out your warmest jackets and boots and head to Prince Alfred Square in Parramatta for winter in the west. Winterlight offers all kinds of frosty fun, from ice skating, to winter carnival rides and all the mulled wine you can handle.

Hop on the ice rink (which is the largest open-air rink in Sydney) for a spin, watch the action from the Ferris wheel or be entertained by roving performers and a live music program. You can warm your belly at the food village with woodfired pizza from YouPizza, warming Indian curries from Chilli and Grains, hearty slow cooked broths from the Original Soupman and German sausages from Berlin Bangers. If you're hankering for a sweet treat warm up with a hot choccy from Adora and maple drenced mini pancakes from Dutch Poffertjes.

Visit on Friday and Saturday for pumping DJ sets, free circus workshops and nightly ice-shows, while throughout the week you can get around the Village Sessions, which will host live music performances by Parramatta’s local musicians. If you’re watching your wallet, come on Tuesdays for two-for-one deals across the attractions and food vendors. This year there's also a light garden, with interactive installations to play with.

It's running for the whole school holidays, so rug up and get down for skating, snacks, live music and more.

Had a ball skating last year - they've been putting in the rinks and rides over the last week so im super excitedddd

My pick of all of the Sydney pop up ice rinks. I've been to Winterlight every year and it just keeps getting better and better. Plenty of good food there and other places nearby. It looks like a winter fairy land.
