Learn something new at one of the many creative classes at Work-Shop
First they came to Chippendale, then Redfern – now they’re found a new home somewhere between the two on the corner of Cleveland and Eveleigh Streets. Set up by Chet Garcia, Work-Shop Sydney offers classes and workshops in anything from tattoo illustration to how to fillet a fish. Each class is run by a local expert, emerging artist or someone who’s just really good at what they do; take Hand Lettering with Gemma O’Brien, for example. If you want to book into one of her typography workshops you’ll need to be quick – these things sell out faster than handmade glazed doughnuts (which you can also learn to make at Work-Shop).
