Time Out says

See some of Sydney’s most niche queer cabaret and drag before dancing into the night

This diverse cabaret dance party returns for a ‘Temple of Love’-themed Valentine’s Day love-in to kick off the Mardi Gras season with an evening of performance art, drag and dance.

Created by Malaysian-born queer artist Dyan Tai and the droll but delightful nightlife personality Tammy, Worship conjures up an inclusive space to share stories of queer identity and to share cultural and spiritual practices before attendees are invited to hit the dancefloor – because getting down with your bad self is the truest form of worship.

Grab your guy, your gal, your romantic non-binary pal, your platonic (or-non platonic) brood of lovers and strap in for Worship. The lovely love-in line-up includes the talents of side-show drag king Marlena Dali, curvaceous burlesque-drag showgirl Mama Medusa, Dreamtime diva Nova Gina, top-notch booty shaker Demon Derriere, retro Shanghai beauty Scarlett So Hung-Son, and fruity drag queen Chastity. On the music front, DJ Matt Jay (of Fur Coat Club fame) will be dropping beats, with live sets from hip-hop artist JamarzOnMarz and Dyan Tai.

Worship takes over the Red Rattler from 7.30pm-late, a volunteer-run warehouse in the backstreets of Marrickville where community-led parties like this and the ever-popular bi-monthly Unicorns transform the shabby-chic surrounds into a safe space where you can let your freak flag fly.
